The Drost Project Visual Guides began as a collection of images compiled by Dr.
Maarten Drost over a period of 30 years. Images subsequently added have been
contributed by friends, colleagues, and users of the Visual Guides. The images
are categorized by subject and topic, and each is given a title and a caption,
and the original source of the image is acknowledged and referenced.
Our part in this project was the creation of a web-base method of managing photo
selection and data entry. The interface is capable of keeping track of page
composition stages (authoring stage, editing stage, etc.) and allows managers to
assign pages to specific authors or editors for content entry/modification. The
interface also generates the HTML pages that are used on the Drost Project site.
